In Polish captivity

Even after signing of the Riga peace treaty (1921) between Poles and Bolshevists, UPR (Ukrainian People’s Republic) army had not stopped the national liberation struggle, which continued since 1917. Fighting Ukrainian army was retreating to the west and, as soon as it has crossed the river Zbruch, was interned to the camps of former ally – Poland.
